Being a child is the youngest and most carefree one can ever be, the innocence and the laughter we see at that age is hard to come by once again. As we glide through our lives and reaching the daunting tasks of adulthood we realize what we left behind was indeed precious. Where the simplest joys were the biggest. They could be as simple as winning a race, or buying that favorite toy or maybe even getting to see a butterfly in action.
My mother till date has all her precious memories locked up in a little cupboard somewhere which was a joy for me to open when I was younger, the toys and games were dreamland for me. And she ensured that she had them safely packed and neatly tucked for her kids to play in the future. What we miss about our childhood the most, we get a chance to relive again through our own children. I remember the joy my mother felt when I built a ‘masterpiece’ in Lego or just hand painted across a chart of paper in the most abstract way possible and she saved it as though it were Picasso.
The society we live in, automatically assumes that a kid will just follow right after marriage like a natural course of action. And many couples end up feeling pressured, because honestly having a child of your own is a beautiful experience to go through at the time one feels the most comfortable to do so. Parents would want to provide the best for their kids no matter what and through them they end up reliving their entire childhood all over again, as they retell their stories or teach them what they have learnt as kids. To see the joys of childhood and the selfless way your kid may love you, is something the people around wouldn’t understand or be able to see, which is why it’s important to make this decision only on the basis of the right time and right way, considering the fact that there are so many ways one can have their own kid in right from IVF to adoptions.
And once you add this little member to your family, you’ll realize how complete your home feels and even them breaking your favorite vase may not matter as much. Their habits, their laughter, crying and minute achievements would end up becoming the highlights of your day as you see them stumble and fall or simply make you laugh with their innocence and how they see the world around them. And I think it goes without saying that as you and your partner join hands to raise your little one, there is a lot one ends up learning not just about each other but about life and gets a chance to learn the most basic lessons all over again such as respect and honesty.
Much like that, while making ‘The Family Vacation’ we realized that the family wouldn’t be complete unless we add a little one into our crew, thus giving us a package filled with three generations making it complete. And even as you see RISHI (Karan V Grover) being thoroughly pestered by KABIR (Kayyaan Khosla), a parent would understand that no matter how much your child tries to annoy you, at the end of the day you’d have it no other way.
So watch the third installment of SIT’s presentation ‘The Family Vacation’ as the vacation continues with ROHINI (Chhavi Mittal) along with parents MR. CHOPRA (Ayub Khan), MRS. CHOPRA (Deepika Amin), her brother KUNAL CHOPRA (Gunjan Utreja) , her sister-in-law SAPNA CHOPRA (Preetika Chawla) as the little member of the family KABIR (Kavyaan Khosla) thoroughly enjoys his vacation while not sparing a single moment to annoy his Uncle RISHI (Karan V Grover).
